Switzerland managed to become a nation of character. Switzerland is and has been producing high quality human resources who have the emotional intelligence and spiritual high, not only left-brain intellect alone. The result is a human being acclaimed character.

Character is formed through a process not a short and easy. Character is formed through a long process that requires consistency and continuity, which is supported by internal and external aspects (family, school, and environment). School which is a major part of the Swiss education system as the primary medium used to inculcate values to its citizens. The process of planting the values into the individual is referred to as internalization. Switzerland with jelly boy using golden age, between 0-5 years, to start the enculturation (recognition of values), internalization, and socialization (the application) the values of life. Effect of education on this period is very large so that enculturation, internalization, and socialization conducted during this period will facilitate and pave the way for the formation of a broad character on the next phases of life.

Internalization of values and ethics that works is when there is a change. This change is manifested in the form of individual behavior that will produce individuals of character. Change begins with a process of learning. Learning concepts applied to the Swiss nation’s education system is the concept of experience. The school not only teaches the theories about values or ethics to his students, but also the application of those values into everyday life.

Characters will only be formed through experience. Schools in Switzerland teaches her students not just learn some good things (knowing the good) but also to feel and apply it to the behavior in life (the good feeling and acting). There is a proverb that says experience is the best teacher. Science and knowledge are implemented in a form of experience will greatly imprint on these individuals and will wear to her subconscious. Character education obtained by students in schools assisted by his experiences in the neighborhood and family. The role of family and environment is very important in building the character of an individual.

Japanese language is used as an official language and used ranging from preschool to college. Most children in Japan enter kindergarten. Then at the age of six years they started school the bed is compulsory for all people, lasted for six years. The first level is the school including compulsory education. The curriculum at this educational level also began to introduce vocational education.

Japanese teachers, primary and secondary schools, obtain training and education in universities, graduate programs and junior colleges. Extra curricular activities such as student organization (OSIS), sporting events, study tours, and so forth are very much appreciated. At secondary school there are compulsory subjects and elective subjects.

Policies undertaken by the government and society in advancing the education is not much different from education policy undertaken by several other countries. The Legislature, judicial and executive at the provincial and district or municipality has also been very active in the process of making decisions about education. The government also encourages teachers to have education programs those non-graduate educational qualifications to obtain graduate level.

This system is based on the Sorbonne Declaration dated May 25, 1998 which contain about changing the higher education system in the first four EU member states-France, Germany, Italy, England, and was followed by the Bologna Declaration, signed by 22 other EU member states.

This means, higher education systems in all EU member states will use the European Credit System, or known as the ECTS (European Credit Transfer System). That is, if once the French higher education system is divided into cycles (DEUG, Licence, Maîtrise, DEA or DESS, and doctoral), since there are now using the ECTS system Licence, Master, and Doctoral course. European credit system would facilitate the students studying in one of the EU member states, including France, to find work in countries other EU members after graduation. This system also allows the students to change college majors or move to another university without losing credits that have been taken at the previous university or department.

However, the LMD system does not apply to higher education in the Grandes Écoles are still using the system cycle. Grandes Écoles is a type of high school or field of specialization for specific lines such as engineering, industry, business and management. This specific path admission is highly selective and rigorous. Later, the school graduates will become professionals in their field, including art, architecture, and administration.

Most education system has not been too satisfying so there should be encouragement about the competence of professional aptitude ‘learning the way of learning’.

Innovative learning is a process that support the changes in interaction between educators and learners are able to develop imagination, creativity, innovation, rationality, curiosity and experimenting to find new possibilities that are not anchored in the traditions of teaching and more emphasis on memory ‘ recall ‘.

Innovative Learning is not done with the teachers, but must be developed so that learners are able to actualize their potential for intellectual, emotional, spiritual, aesthetic and kinesthetic.
The principles and strategies are ranging from the introduction of innovative learning, internalization and application of values and peeling of human intelligence, intellectually, emotionally, spiritually and physically as well as majestic power of religion that affect the heart, mentally and physically.

To reach the white-collar, French youth are obliged to complete the study five years after high school (where in other countries like U.S. and Indonesia on a par with the Master).

Those who only completed three or four years of education after high school (called Bac +3 or Bac +4) can only be reached for blue collar or technical positions. So the master’s degree in France is a very unusual because almost every white-collar employee has five years of education after high school (Bac +5) commensurate master. Besides the cost of education master / diploma Ingenieur in France is very cheap by almost every citizen of France’s most poor-can school to master. As a picture of Master for a year cost about 300 euros.

Salaries between the position of white collar and blue collar are very different, simply because of differences in year study period (four years vs. 5 years). Diploma d’Ingenieur from Ecole d’Ingenieur usually considered more prestigious than a master’s from the University. The high educational level and weight of school in France to contribute in the attitude of the French nation which averaged a critical, scientific, argumentative, knowingly, others prefer harder, a little arrogant and contemptuous of other nations.
